Hong Kong trip 130514-180514 (Day 6)

Hong Kong trip 130514-180514 (Day 6) -Mongkok Fa Yuen Street

It's the last day for our trip.
Ate breakfast at Da Shi Fu Zhou Pin for the second time as we like the food there.

Ordered different food!

Salted egg shou rou zhou

XO fried bee hoon

Chee Cheong Fan with you tiao and it's nice because their you tiao is v tasty and crispy

Tummy satisfied! Price is reasonable too.

Back to hotel to rest awhile before we headed to Fa Yuen St as recommended by SJ

As we got limited time there, we shopped hurriedly but I still managed to buy 6 pairs of shoes because got my size and it's cheap! Average S$15 per pair

Got Mac ice cream flavour burst otw back to hotel before we checked out and took the shuttle bus to Kowloon Station to take airport express line to airport

Raspberry for Sy
And a random order of pineapple coconut? not too sure of the nameof the flavor for me

Reached the airport via express line and trolleys invited us at the doors. So nice right?

Lunched at a restaurant called Macau Habour
Good place to dine in because there's tv for us to watch at our table.
I got v distracted because the movie was exciting :P

Deco at the restaurant
 Checked in luggage

Slight delay for our plane and we reached Singapore at 11pm+

Nasi Lemak on board the plane.
Tasty and nice~

My loot which is not much~ because we went to attractions more than shopping for this trip
Spent about S$800 on attractions, food and buys

Our OOTD for each day

During this trip, we managed to communicate in English and Mandarin even though we do not know Cantonese. We met some not so polite people who simply just cut us while taking pics but we also met friendly and helpful people (eg a taxi driver walked us down a street to show us where's our hotel). Thankful that everything goes well overall :D

Sincerely want to thank SY for taking all the photos for the trip so I can use them to blog. Although I know I keep whine and said "so wu liao also want to take" etc, I still feel grateful because these are our memories and we got so many pics to look back at.
I also didnt take pics of you as nice as you take me but well~ some I did well too right? Haha
Also, thanks for helping me carry my stuffs most of the time too! Muacks.
These mark our Hong Kong trip in May 2014~
Thanks for reading!

Hong Kong trip 130514-180514 (Day 5)

Hong Kong trip 130514-180514 (Day 5)- Australia Dairy Company, Dragon's back and Tim Ho Wan

Thanks to Baby SY's research, we managed to give Hong Kong's nature a visit during this trip.
The hike is tougher than we thought it to be because of the many steep steps, rocks and the long route which often give us the thought " when is it going to be the end?" Haha!

We took 4hrs continuously (including taking pics etc) but without rest/ sit.
There's only 1 route and we cant possibly turn back halfway. We got to move on.
Because the destination we wanted to end is at Big Wave Bay Beach.

After we completed Dragon's back, we still got an hour's walk to the beach.
The hike was challenging and tiring. However we got to see the beautiful nature!

Before we went to hike, we had breakfast at Australia Dairy Company.
A famous breakfast place in Hong Kong Jordon Station.
Long long q however the wait was only like 10min.

We ordered the breakfast set each and a pudding to share

The scrambled egg which is very nice. Worth a try

Took the MTR to Shau Kei Wan and took public bus 9 to To Tei Wan on Shek O Road

Up Up Up we go~ the road is narrow and the bus driver can still drive fast~
The view when we alighted the bus~

Went to use the cubic toilet before we started the hike as the next toilet available is after you finish hiking dragon's back.

The kind of path we walked

We see something after abit of climb

 Continued further

One path~

 Yay to the view~

Path can get muddy too.
At the end of the hike, our shoes were dirty and mud covered the sides.

Still can go higher~

See how people climb ahead and higher up of us

And soon, our turn!

We are at the peak of Shek O, Dragon's Back- 284m high

 Long way more to go

Even going down can be difficult because my legs are short ikr

Really want to thank baby for helping me carry my bag most of the time (other than his own bag and his camera, busy photo-taking)

Wo de bei ying bu cuo ba? haha

We get to see waterfall n streams too.
At times we walked on the rocks with water as well

Completed Dragon's back and now to Big wave Bay beach, about an hour more~~

Down Down Down we go~ my knee cap hurt at times (disadvantage of short legs)

How long do we still need to go~
This qn is in our heads at this point of hike because our energy is getting low.

And finally!

We saw signs to the beach
 Our tired and sweaty faces

But still try to be cheeky and cheerful haha

We are coming!

Sy's idea of artistic shot

Took off our shoes and went into the sea.
The feeling is so cool. The water is cooling, the breeze, the wind, the sky, the sea, the mountains~
The tired hike is worth it!

Take pictures and more pictures since we are there

Bought sandwich n drink from this store after washing our legs and cleaning up before we took the public bus back to MTR.

So tired and we told each other to take bus to the beaches if we were to go again next time. At least we did experience the hike once. Hahaha
As we were going down the mountain, we still cant believe that we climbed one of them.

Oo yes, I want to mention that we met 3 Singaporeans while hiking!
The guy was helpful and friendly in helping us take pics at different point of the hike since there's one path and we get to see each other at almost most stops and eventually saw them again at the beach. This guy was also caring because he did ask us if we were ok when he saw SY wiping some mud off his leg.
He chatted with SY for a bit at the Big Wave Bay beach while I'm in the toilet and that's how we know.
So glad to have them to make our hike more pleasant!

Back to hotel to wash up and Tim Ho Wan for dinner at Olympian City 2.

Then back to hotel as we were tired from the walk earlier on. Haha! My legs started to ache and lucky the next morning it's much better!

Really a great experience!
