Chinese New Year 2013

CNY 2013

Reunion dinner was at Ban Heng with family, grandparents and cousin, aunt bao qin and Benson n SY before my brother flies off to Japan Kobe 

Day 1 

Family photo before we are out for house visiting

On the first day, we went to Bedok Ah gong's house, Kallang Bahru grandparents house and then to Compassvale Aunt's house

Day 2 

Bai Nian at Tai Ma's (my Ah ma's mother) house then 

Lion Dance at Xiao Gu's bungalow before we went to Uncle's house at Serangoon who also had lion dance performance on the same day (so we gave the one at Uncle's house a miss as it's the same troupe as the past 2 years) 

Saw a beautiful rainbow after the performance

Day 3 
Went to B's house to bai nian and for lunch before I headed off to Laopos' houses
Had dinner at TM Swensens and Haagan Daz

Day 4

Father's side relatives came to my house

Parents cooked a lot of home-cooked dishes and we ordered sushi and yu sheng

Everybody goes Huat ah! when lao-ing the yu sheng

Happy Valentine's Day

2nd Valentine's Day with B 

The first Valentine's Day dinner was at Peach Garden @ 33 OCBC Centre

This time round we decided to try western food. Therefore we went to Rocks Urban Grill + Bar at The Sail @ Marina Bay.

The restaurant is a good place to dine in because there's nice scenery.

The set menu we ordered

Mushroom soup with bread

Crabcakes which taste not bad 

Lamb Shank which is tender however it has a strong smell :(

Cod fish which is nice especially with a little bit of lemon juice drops 

Truffle mash potato which you will feel sick of after eating too much

Mixed vegetables which is not bad 

Dessert- Warm Choco Fondant with Vanilla ice cream

Thanks B for the meal which costs about $180. 
And we didnt know that plain water can cost us $8 -.-"

After the meal, we conclude that we still prefer chinese cuisine!
