Paris Baguette (My bday with Temasek We)

Met up with Temasek We on 8th Dec at Tampines Mall Paris Baguette for tea break which is also my birthday celebration in advanced.

I always appreciate that we get to meet up yearly for our Christmas exchange :)

Open concept and Pingping said this is a Korean brand. No wonder we can see the chefs with Korean look.

My first time at Paris Baguette and the cakes and pudding tastes nice *thumbs up*

My bday present- a bag! which I can use during CNY~ haha!

Table full of gifts! :D

We shopped, went to have dinner at Sakae Sushi Century Square before we watched Ilo Ilo -the award winning movie, and headed home.

Westgate, Bao Today

Hello I'm back! Realised that I have not been updating my blog for some time.I want to keep my blog going because I feel that if one day I were to read my blog again, it will help me be reminded of my past activities. So I'm here to pen down my happenings!

Could not remember the exact dates of all outings but shall try my best with the help of fb posts :P

First week of Dec, SY and I went to Westgate to shop as it's newly opened. However some shops are not opened yet but can see that there are new restaurants around.

We saw a queue for free candy floss and we queued for it as well because I didn't have candy floss for some time already. Hehe!
There's a supermarket at the basement with lots of Japanese food! Saw this grilled squid which tempted me but I can't finish it on my own (SY don't like squid) plus we are going to Ju Chun Yuan for set dinner so didn't buy and try. Next time then!

Had dinner at Ju Chun Yuan (a deal) and some of the dishes (soup, prawn and fish) are not bad.
The restaurant is not really crowded mainly because they sell fuzhou cuisine?

Few days later, on a weekday after work, we went to Bao Today at Marina square to try the Christmas promo -Little snowman pineapple custard buns. I saw from a blog that they have this very cute snowman bun which is good for taking pics so we were there!

Each snowman cost $2, one basket for $4.
The taste is just normal to us ~

Tim Ho Wan

A random decision to go to Tim Ho Wan for dinner due to SY's cravings.
We went to the branch at Toa Payoh because we were at PCY's house at Sembawang before that.

Long queue as usual but we managed to "cut" a few tables in front of us as we only need 2 seats and they offered us the counter seats.

Ordered 7 dishes in all- 3 out of the 4 heavenly king (except for the pig liver zhu chang fen)

Pork, Salted egg and pi dan porridge

The signature pork bun which is really very nice! Must try!

Carrot cake which is normal

Steamed cake- not too bad

Har kaw

One of the monthly special but taste soso
Gui hua gao
 Packed!

Portion just nice for 2 of us :)

999! - Ramen Santouka

On 5th Nov 13, Happy 999 days together for SY and I!

We met for dinner at Ramen Santouka The Central.
I read blogs and reviews on this restaurant before and it is one of the places we plan to go.Just nice there's deal so we bought the deal once we saw it.

Like what the blog reviews mentioned, there will be long queue and it's true. Lucky we didn't wait for too long (5-10mins or so).

We ordered the salt soup base which is their famous order.
The pork is nice as well! However, the ramen portion is too much for me.
Even the glutton boyfriend can't really finish the ramen :P

Parsley & Thyme

It was SY who knew of the restaurant week thing and one of the restaurants which took part was Parsley & Thyme.

The place is not really too difficult to find. It is walkable from Outram Park MRT however due to heavy rain, we took some time to walk to the place with wet feets.

When we reached, we only saw a couple dining.Slowly the crowd came in and fill up the spaces in the restaurant.

The person mending the restaurant was very friendly throughout the whole dining period.Passionate, enthu retiree who may be the boss of the restaurant? Haha

Onion soup which was said to be very nice but not really to SY's liking

I find the lobster bisque a bit too salty for me :(

My wrong choice of order -Seafood stew.
Disappointed~

However, B's duck confit is nice! Yumsss

Caramel panna cotta which is nice

Strawberry Bavarois with white chocolate which was so so

Happy time with my love :)
